Carbondale, IL a stop on the path of totality on the 2024 eclipse

I never thought I would be excited to live in Southern Illinois, but it came in handy this year. Carbondale became the center of attention during the 2024 eclipse. Southern Illinois Univerity called off all classes and encouraged staff and students to get involved in the local festivities. Although most of the events were on campus as a local I wanted to stay far away from the crazy traffic and out-of-towners. I ended up having a “darty” with some friends.
