Corduroy

“Button? Button. Button! Button?” Corduroy follows the children’s book of Corduroy the Bear looking for his lost overalls button. A teddy bear wakes up and becomes lifesize running around a huge department store causing absolute chaos for the night guard. At the same time, we follow the story of a little girl named Julia who finds the corduroy teddy bear on the shelf and asks her mom to buy it. When she says no, Julia makes it her life’s mission to save up enough to buy Corduroy. We follow Julia’s mission at home as she washes her mom’s laundry including drying her mom’s favorite sweater, as well as trying to take out the trash… or maybe spilling the trash I should say.

Working on this show almost felt like a fever dream. From having to make a false bottom for a trash can, department store bags, and 8 diffirent department signs. While also turning streamers into water, confetti, and shampoo. You name it we did it. Below are some of the department signs, Corduroy’s toy bed that “Lisa made,” the diffirent fake pancakes, and some of the department store bags.
